The “Not Yet” Philosophy:

Our services are influenced by Carol Dweck's “Not Yet” growth-mindset research. Instead of viewing setbacks as failures, we see them as part of the learning journey, where skills, understanding, and positive change may not have developed yet — but with the right support, effort, and encouragement, they are likely to develop over time; This approach helps individuals to develop perseverance, resilience, confidence, healthier behaviours to make informed choices.

From our lived experience, we recognise that changing behaviour is challenging, but not impossible. There is no quick fix. However, we have adopted a holistic, partnership-led approach aligned with leading local and national initiatives to foster lasting change, including Violence Against Women and Girls, physical and online harm, creating safer streets, and building more resilient communities to strengthen social cohesion.

We explore the root causes of harmful behaviours, including antisocial behaviour, grooming, domestic abuse, exploitation, and organised crime. Part of the journey relies on the physical and mental well-being of victims, survivors, and perpetrators, and providing a safe, non-judgmental environment, which is particularly important for those who are vulnerable or disadvantaged due to circumstances, educational needs, or life situations. A safe space to learn trust and learn.

Using a peripatetic delivery model ensures support is inclusive and accessible to those who are at risk, are vulnerable and those who cause harm.
